Letter from Principal Biera

Dear Arcadia Community,
After three years at Arcadia High School, Coach Neibling resigned his position as the varsity head coach for boys basketball.  He has accepted a full-time teaching position as well as a similar varsity coaching position with Sandra Day O’ Connor High School.   In his three years as the head coach, Arcadia boys basketball amassed an overall record of 70 wins and 18 losses; a region record of 38 wins and 7 losses.  During his tenure, Arcadia basketball won 2 regional championships in 2011 and 2012 with a final four appearance in the state tournament in 2012.  It was the first time in over 15 years Arcadia has appeared in the final four tournament.  In 2011, Arcadia had its most successful season in school history with a 26-2 record and undefeated 14-0 region record.  In 2011, Coach Neibling was named by his peers as East Sky Region Coach of the year.
 

Coach Neibling has been such an important part of Arcadia and such a great influence on the lives of our students.  I know the staff, students, and parents at Arcadia High School will miss him.  As a learning community, we want to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for all that he has accomplished and the positive experiences he brought to our community.  We are grateful for the opportunities he has shared with us and we, as a staff, wish the very best for Coach Neibling and his family.

Thank You For All Who Made our Recent Alumni Game and Auction a Success!

A BIG thanks for all of you who were able to join us at our 1st Annual Alumni Game and Auction!  Everyone had a lot of fun and scored great prizes, cool merchandise and photos of their favorite player!  The money raised through this event will go to very good use this season!
An event like this can't happen without the hard work and energy of our devoted volunteers!  Our thanks go out to Lezlie Richardson and Teresa Moses for their talent and creativity in organizing the auction, Grand Canyon University and Vangie Wilson for their generous donations to the auction, Pam Denton for her wonderful player photos, Coach Baker for providing the cool jersey's and shorts, Jeri Eshelman for her hard work (always!), Tommie Wilson and Kelly Kinchen for their masterful work at the snack bar, Sandi Rodriguez for handling the photo sales, Melinda Grubbs for managing the shorts sales and Marsha Dobrick and Liz Kinchen for their help and support throughout the auction.  Thank you to our coaches...Coach Black, Coach Al and Coach Neibling for making the game fun for our current and returning players!  And finally,  Coach Neibling, thank for your vision and organizing the alumni game!
